Notes	The first is truncated. This book is a summary of Ibn Sina’s law on medicine, and its author has arranged it into four branches. The first is in the rules of the scientific and practical parts of medicine, the second is in single and combined medicines and foods, the third is in diseases that pertain to an organ rather than an organ, and the fourth is in diseases that are not specific to one organ or another and their causes, signs, and treatments. The copy that we have in our hands, the first is truncated, contains only two parts of this book, which are the third and fourth. The copy is disassembled and frayed at the edges. It has been affected by moisture, especially in the last parts of it, affecting its ink. It is heavy with footnotes, comments, and corrections, some of them in the pen of a late commentary. The copy does not contain any appellations or approvals. The text was written in glossy black ink. Some of the titles, especially in the first parts, were in red ink. The text was written on paper with parallel lines and contains commercial watermarks, including a six-lobed star, and on another paper, the palm of a human hand.
