External size: 22.8 x 16.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, the People of Praise and Deserving of Praise and Glory. May God’s blessings and peace be upon Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and companions, and abundant peace until the Day of Judgment. A chapter on mentioning the comprehensive purposes of this book. As for what follows, we classified our book in the chronicles of the time. The text was written in black ink, some words and phrases in red ink. And also some spacers. The notebooks and leaves of the manuscript are disassembled and separated from the skin, and some phrases are written in broad black ink. The end of the manuscript: The first part of the book “Muruj al-Dhahab” was completed by Imam Abu al-Hussein Ali al-Masoudi, may God Almighty have mercy on him, followed by the second part, the beginning of the caliphate of Muawiyah Ibn Abi Sufyan, and praise be to God alone.
