Notes
18 x 13.2 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: (So what if a calamity befalls them for what their hands have presented, then they come to you swearing to God that we only wanted goodness and success..) {An-Nisa: 62} Light moisture did not affect the hexagram text. This is the second of seven sections containing approximately 4 parts. The periodic narration on the authority of Abu Amr and the reading of the people of Sudan. It does not adhere to the Uthmani script. The counting is visual and may not adhere to it. He divides a single word between two lines. The paper is white and tends to be thick. The handwriting is large and clear. He writes the words of His Majesty in red. He decorates the dividers with a semi-solid red circle surrounded by a black frame that sticks to it or moves away slightly. It has no other signs of decoration. He pointed out in the middle of Surat Al-An'am at the end of the Almighty's saying: (Indeed, it is but a remembrance for the worlds) Al-An'am: He said (This is half of the Surah) and he did not write it in Al-Ma'idah or in Al-A'raf after it, and by half here he means half the quantity and not half according to the number of verses, words or letters.||The omission is written above between the two lines with an appendix mark in its place, which is sometimes large /v. 55/, and he may write it in the footnote by a word or words, and it is few, and as for the extra, he erases it with ink. So that nothing appears from it, and he may cross it out with light lines, reading what is underneath it, as in /v. 16/, and he did not notice some omissions, as in /v. 40/, and it was added in a very modern handwriting that differs from the copyist’s handwriting. The part is divided into two parts with only the word (part) inside a rectangle with a light decoration on its sides, then he writes (hizb) in the middle of the part only.||He refers to the provisions of the noon sakina and tanween with (khaf): to hide, (n): to show, (m): to turn, and he writes the word (qafa) in some places, then nothing else is written among the stop signs. The information line of the Surah is written in the span (Bismillah) between the sīn and the meem at the beginning of the sūrah, so he writes the name of the surah, the number of its verses, and its revelation. In Al-Ma’idah, he wrote it horizontally above and below the period, and in Al-An’am and Al-A’raf, he wrote it vertically with the same previous information, and it is in red, all of which are in the middle of the pages.||He indicates that it includes two sides of the periodic by adding the second in the footnote in red. In the word (Wakhshun), Al-Ma’idah: 3 books (Ni: together), meaning (in Nun). And (with Nūn and Yā’) the two sides. The paper is thick white and the binding is with slightly thick white threads. Marked with an error sign (X) above the plural meem, meaning: irrelevance in the readers’ terminology. There is general consistency in the beginning and end lines and the spaces between them. He uses well-known diacritics without controversy. The section began by writing the first line in red. At the end of the section, he mentions exactly when he finished writing. Transcribed by: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Sayyid Abu Bakr.. ibn Khidr. The end of the manuscript: (And those who hold the Book and establish prayer, We will not waste the reward of the reformers)... {Al-A`raf: 170}
