Notes	A complete copy, the chapters are written in capital letters and the headings of the articles are in red ink. The copy has traces of moisture and earth, and on the title page there is a translation in the author’s old Andalusian script.
Metin Başı (İncipit)	قال أبو بكر محمد بن حسن الزبيدي رحمه الله: الحمد لله حمداً يبلغ رضاه... هذا كتاب أمر بجمعه وتأليفه أمير المؤمنين الحكم المستنصر بالله.... ومذهبنا أن نصلح ما ألفيناه مختلاً في الكتاب.... ونحن نربأ بالخليل عن نسبة هذا الخلل إليه... بل نقول إن الكتاب لا يصح له ولا يثبت عنه.... وأكبر الظن أن الخليل سبب أصله ورام تثقيف كلام العرب به، ثم هلك عنه قبل كماله فتعاطى إتمامه من لا يقوم في ذلك مقامه.
