Notes A modern, good and complete copy. It was compared to the original from which it was copied and to another copy, as appears in the corrections of the interviews in the footnotes. The text was written in generally black, watercolored ink, and the copyist used red ink to write the terms of modernization, chapter titles, and some abbreviations such as ((H)) (Hadith) and so on, on a European-made, satin white ink in which parallel lines and the commercial watermark [three crescents of different sizes] appear. On the title page, there is a stop restriction. Most of it was intentionally obscured, and what appears from it is: ((This book was given by Sheikh Abdullah bin the late Abdul Rahman Fawah Buq [...] Hajj Wan bin Wan Ishaq Pattani, then on his children and his children’s children, and so on [...] So, Al-Arshad and on the people of Pattani, and God is the Best of Witness)), and Pattani is the southern part of present-day Thailand and the northern part of Malaysia, and the inhabitants of this section are Muslims. It seems that this copy was given by the one who gave it to the people of his country who live in Mecca. Al-Mukarramah, because it carries another ownership in the name of Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdul Rahman bin Hamdan, who died in Mecca in the year 1397 AH.
