Notes
External size: 22 x 16 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Glory be to You, Glory be to You, how great is your status and show your proof. You are the one who sees in the eye, and the eye does not see you, and you are closer to the thing than its eye, and the veils have come in the distance, and the discerning ones will not see you except with your lights... And then the poor man says to the pardon of his Lord, the true rich, Muhammad bin Asaad Al-Dawani Al-Siddiqi... Within his collection, this is the third and final message from it. The first page is repeated on the verso of page 139, and the front of page 140. The paragraph heads are written in red ink. Footnotes and comments were written in different ways. Sometimes they were written between the lines of the text, sometimes in an upward slant, sometimes in a downward slant, sometimes vertically, and sometimes horizontally. It has traces of wetness and dampness on it. It has corrections. It has many explanations and comments at the end of the manuscript: Let this be the last thing I intended in this letter despite the dispersion of the situation and the dispersion of the mind and my falling into a time in which ambitions have become their shortcomings and the ignorant are their supporters. They turn in the shade of the evil of youth and dispense with my mirage’s opinions.
