Notes	A precious old copy, corrected and matched against the original from which it was copied, and bearing the date of its composition [Wednesday the thirteenth of the month of Shaban of the months of the year seven hundred and fifty-two in Jerusalem]. The text in it was written in black viscous ink in general, and the copyist used red ink to write the headings of the paragraphs, chapters, sections, sections, chapters, warning lines, and so on, on a Levantine Arabic rug of good quality, satin brown, made of cotton and fibers of the flax or hay plant. The copy is dated in the year 914 AH, and it is therefore older than the Al-Azhar copy [3971 Abaza 6330] dated in the year 966 AH. I am also older than the two Berlin copies [6095, 6096] dated respectively in the year 1121 AH and 1100 AH, and older than the Leiden copy [931 Sharqi] dated in the year 875 AH, in the copy Numerous possessions, some of which were deliberately obscured, including one in the name of Hajj Muhammad Amin Shatti al-Hanbali, dated 1196 AH, another in the name of Muhammad Chalabi al-Mughizli, dated early in the Sacred Mosque in the year 58 [11 AH], and the last suppressed, dated in the year 1139 AH. One of the owners tried to change the title of the copy, so he erased ((to a visit)) and wrote ((On Virtues))
