The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family. The sheikh, the linguist and grammarian, Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Abd al-Mu’min ibn Issa, said... Praise be to God who has singled out this nation with the most eloquent tongues. As for what follows, knowledge is the most profitable, most appropriate, and highest in rank. Its moisture and earth affected the paper. 39 had some corrections on it that were replaced with the original. The text was written in black ink, and some words and phrases, alert lines, and footnotes, in red ink. The manuscript's notebooks and papers are dismantled. The text was written in double tables and in red ink I wrote on the margin of the manuscript the text of the Maqamat. End of the manuscript: The first part of the explanation of the Maqamat by Al-Shuraishi was completed with the praise and help of God, and it is followed in the second part by the explanation of the twenty-fifth Maqamat.
