Its events revolve around the marriage of Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib, the father of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to Amna bint Wahb. It was written in the style of storytelling and is therefore part of the legendary colloquial literature that was read in public gatherings and cafes for preaching and exhortation. The text in it was written in dark brown ink only on a rough, thick-grained, European-made rug, in which parallel lines and the trademark watermark [three consecutive crescents] appear.
