Notes	The text was written in glossy black ink in general, and the names of the sheikhs of Islam are in red ink. They are, respectively, Sheikh Suleiman Al-Mansouri, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Shabrawi, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Dafri, Sheikh Hassan Al-Madabaghi, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hafnawi Al-Shafi’i, Sheikh Salem Al-Nafrawi Al-Maliki, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Emadi Al-Maliki, Sheikh Omar Al-Tahlawi Al-Maliki, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Balidi Al-Maliki, Sheikh Ali Al-Saidi Al-Maliki, Sheikh Ali Al-Barawi Al-Shafi’i. At the end of each sheikh’s fatwa, the sheikh writes down his name in the form “Written by the poor man...” and on page 3B with a footnote, “And from his handwriting I quoted” The last sheet, which may have contained the name of the copyist who collected these fatwas, was lost. He wrote the text on white paper with parallel lines and a commercial watermark consisting of three consecutive crescents.
Metin Başı (İncipit)	(الحمد لله وحده والصلاة والسلام على من لا نبي بعده وآله وصحبه وحزبه صورة سؤال رفع لحضرة مشايخ الإسلام نفع الله بهم الأنام في رجب سنة 1148 هـ ونصه ما قولكم دام فضلكم في رجل يدعي ثبوت حرمة شرب الدخان بنص الكتاب مستدلاً بقوله تعالى ويحرم عليهم الخبائث وبالسنة أيضاً ويزعم أن حرمته أشد من حرمة شرب الخمر فهل الآية الشريفة معناها ذلك أم لا وهل في السنة الشريفة نص على ذلك أم لا وإذا قلتم لا فهل يجوز لهذا القائل تفسير القرآن برآيه وينسب للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم شيئاً لم يقله ولم ينقله عنه أحد من المحدثين أم لا أم كيف الحال أفيدوا بالجواب ....)
