Notes
A complete copy, the title was written by the owner of the manuscript, “The Collection of Hanafi Fatwas, The King of the Poor, To the Hidden Kindness of God, Muhammad Muhammad Darwish al-Hanafi, who wrote it on the 6th of Rajab in the year 33, the blessed Thursday.” The next page contains the index, and in a different pen, “Yakbakj,” which is one of the magic words that is believed to have an effect in preserving the manuscript from damage. Earth was spread in the folds of the manuscript, and it was restored by expert hands using Japanese tracing paper. The text was written Generally in black, glossy ink, while the titles and warning lines are in red ink on light white paper containing a commercial watermark, which is a circle with a palm tree inside it, from which fruits hang in the form of two triangles, a triangle on each side with its base facing up.
