Notes	A complete copy, written in black ink, the word (his saying) written in red ink, and some of the margins with comments and corrections. On the first and last pages of the copy appears a registration record in the name of Muhammad bin Ali al-Rahbi, the Mufti of the Shafi’i school of Baghdad. The copyist indicated the year of copying in an unclear manner, as he stated that he finished blackening the copy in our hands “on Saturday the eighteenth of the holy month of Shaban in the year 117 of the Prophet’s Hijra.” Accordingly, it is most likely that the year of copying is the year 1117 AH. In such cases, the watermarks that appear on the leaves of the copy can play a very important role in confirming or denying the possible date of copying. See the book [Lines and Watermarks in Arabic Manuscripts], and the leaves are affected by moisture.
