Notes	An old, truncated copy, the first, was compared to the original from which it was copied and to more than one other copy, as is evident in its footnotes, where the differences in readings were proven. The text in it was written in dark, viscous black ink that turned to dark brown, and some words, sentences, paragraph heads, chapters, and so on were written in red ink, on a Levantine Arabic scribe of Levantine work dating back to the eighth century and the beginning of the ninth century AH. The pages of the copy, especially after folio 154, were damaged and torn, which led to the disappearance of large parts of the text. It was caused ((of course)) by neglect and misuse. Its bookcases disintegrated and its leaves fell apart. It needs urgent maintenance and careful restoration. On sheet 1A, the date of birth appears ((The blessed newborn Hassan bin Abdullah bin Najim was born on the 10th of Rabi’ al-Akhir in the year 1267)), on sheet 48A, a title stamp appears in the name of Hassan bin Muhammad.
