Notes A recent copy in which Sheikh Muhammad Saeed bin Muhammad Sunbul confirmed his chain of transmission related to the sheikhs. He read it to Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani Al-Kurdi in the year 1144 AH and to Sheikh Eid bin Ali Al-Azhari Al-Burlusi Al-Shafi’i between the year 1127 AH and 1136 AH. He was one of the men of the twelfth century AH. The text in it was written in generally dark tan black ink, and the copyist used red ink to write the heads of the poverty, such as ((So I say)) and ((and the chain of transmission)) and the titles of the works in the footnotes and so on on a European-made, brown-colored paper in which the parallel lines and the commercial watermark appear. Appended to the copy is an authorization (folio 17b) with evidence, its chains of transmission and the works of the sheikhs therein from Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaiman al-Kurdi al-Madani dated 1172 AH to Sheikh Ahmed bin al-Sheikh Ubaid al-Attar. Muhammad bin Suleiman al-Kurdi al-Madani al-Shafi’i was born in Damascus. He grew up in Medina and died there on the 16th of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 1194 AH (Dictionary of Authors 10/54)
