A recent copy. The copy is undated, but it bears the date of deposit of the Certificate of Unification in 1294 AH. The date of its ownership was 1286 AH, and it was plagued by severe neglect, humidity, and dirt. All of this greatly affected the text, obliterating many parts of it. Three leaves were omitted from the beginning, and one of its owners completed them, and six leaves from the last, which were completed by another owner. Attached to the copy are quotes from the book Politics of Kings by Abu Hamid al-Ghazali about the lengths of the rule of the kings of Persia, and from the poem of Yahya bin Saeed ((in which he organized the creation of the heavens and the earth). And the throne, the chair, the tablet, the pen, paradise, hell, the angels, and Adam, peace be upon him)) And we say other things from the Book of Paper in the news of the Maghreb countries and the history of the city of Fez, and what Abu Zaid Abd al-Rahman bin Abd al-Qadir al-Fassi mentioned in his book Al-Aqnoum fi Principles of Science, in which the text was written in dark tan black ink that turned brown, and the paragraphs’ heads and some sentences here and there and some proper names were written in red and blue ink or in dark black vitriolic ink within triangular tables colored with green and red ink, on European-made kajed tends to be brown, showing parallel lines and a distinct watermark [two leaves of a three-leaf clover plant]
