Notes
The work is an explanation of the similarities and analogues, which was completed in the year 1097 AH. The copy is copied from the author’s copy, an embellished interview containing five pages in its introduction, the last three of which contain the index, while the last two contain two possessions by its owner and owner, Hajj Hafez Hasan Effendi, “Whoever wrote to God the poor, his supplicant servant, the kindness of God.” The title page contains several possessions. On the last page and at its conclusion is one line in which the copyist indicated the date. The death of the author “I say and the death of our Lord Al-Sayyid Ahmad referred to at the end of the year 1100 AH.” Regarding the numbering, the copyist did not number the first five pages, including the index. In modern numbering, the page between numbers 199-200 was dropped from the numbering. The text was written in black glossy ink in general, while the titles, the word “saying,” and some of the demands in the margins were in red ink. The text was written on light-grain paper with parallel lines and commercial watermarks, which are: A royal crown and a bell.

(لك الحمد يا من تنزهت ذاته عن الأشباه والنظائر وتاهت في بيداء كنه صفاته سائلة العقول والبصائر كل ما في الوجود ناطق بتوحيدك ومعلق بشكرك وتمجيدك فلك الحمد استحقاقاً لذاتك وتعظيماً لكنه صفاتك يا نور النور يا خفياً من فرط الظهور وصلى على الهادي إليك وقد وهب غاسق الضلالة والداعي إليك على حين فترة من الرسالة محمد نبيك وعبدك ورحمتك المهداة .... وبعد فإن كتاب الأشباه والنظائر لأفضل المتأخرين مولانا زين بن نجيم الحنفي كتاب لم تكتحل عين الزمان له بثاني ولم يوجد في كتب الحنفية ما له يوازي .... هذا وإن شرذمة من الموالي الكرام المشهورين بالفضل بين الأنام التمسوا مني نقل ما كنت سودته إلى البياض ظانين أن ذلك من أنفس الأعلاق وأهم الأغراض ظناً منهم أن لي ذات يد في تحقيق ذلك الكتاب وورداً على مناهله العذاب وقد أجبتهم إلى ذلك ....)
