Notes	A complete, modern copy, abbreviated by its author from the book Shams al-Ma’rif by al-Buni, who died in the year 622 AH. It was folded in the middle, and that folding affected parts of the text’s words. Then it got very wet and smeared, greatly affecting the clarity of the text on most of its pages. Despite all this, the text was still generally readable. The text was generally written in brown, tangy, watery ink, and the copyist used black ink to write. Houses and chapters, on a French-made emblem, which shows parallel lines and the commercial watermark, which is in the form of three successive crescents. On folio 1a, an unreadable possession appears, and at the end of it appears the seal of the Hejazi Library on Zawiyat al-Araj Street in Alexandria, which suggests that this copy was in the Ahmed Khairy Library, may God have mercy on him and us.
