Notes
25.4 x 17.6 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, to whom the sands praise and to whom the shadows prostrate. As for what follows, the world is his enemy, God Almighty. With its deceit, whoever strays goes astray, and with its cunning, whoever slips, his love for it is the head of sins and bad deeds, and its hatred for the mother of obedience, and the pain of closeness.. A slight dampness did not affect the text, and he approved of it. Some corrections on it. Some few explanations were received on the original and on another copy I wrote. The titles of chapters, sections, and the breaks between sentences, some phrases, and words are in red ink, and the rest of the text is in black ink. This part deals with the book Poverty and Asceticism. Copied by: Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Haddad. The end of the manuscript: He placed all goodness in a house and made its key asceticism in it. This is what we wanted to mention of the truth of asceticism and its rulings. If asceticism cannot be accomplished except by relying on trust, let us begin to explain it, God willing.
