Notes 21.7 x 16.5 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and I bear witness that there is no god but God, alone, with no partner. Then this is a precious book in explaining the truth in asceticism and piety. I wrote it for our brothers who wish to achieve excellent things without accepting their foolishness, in order to ease the reckoning for them on the Day of Resurrection.. Humidity affected the text in some places. It has some corrections. It has some comments and footnotes. It was replaced by another copy. The text was written. In black ink, some words and phrases in red ink. Page 165 is devoid of writing. In folios 211b and 212 are a collection of benefits and sermons about the status of knowledge and scholars, humility, pride, wealth, and other topics, in addition to some hadiths from the Prophet. Transcribed by: Fathallah bin Abu Bakr bin Safi Al-Halabi. The end of the manuscript: Praise be to God who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had God not guided us. May blessings and peace be upon the most honorable of messengers, Muhammad, his family, and all his companions, on the date of Sunday, the twenty-seventh of the glorious month of Shaban, the year one hundred and seventy-one. And God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
