Al-Nakawi is one of the accredited Sufis, and he had approvals in Sufism, as indicated by an approval that he gave himself to Sheikh Al-Sayyid Al-Sawasi in Al-Ward Al-Baha’i, in the month of Ramadan in the year one hundred and thousand and seventy-three of the Hijra. He wrote the approval himself, folio 74b of Al-Majmu’, and among his works are Explanation of the Greatest Name, Uncovering of Hearts, Sharh Al-Hizb Al-Nawawi, Sharh Al-Dour Al-Ala, Sharh Ward Al-Sattar, and this collection of medical treatises was recorded by Al-Nakawi in the year 1214 AH. The unified indexing elements in this collection are that the text was written in faded black ink on light-grained white paper containing a commercial watermark of an eight-pointed star.
