Notes	A modern, incomplete copy, written by its author. Perhaps it is his draft due to the large number of crossings out and additions. It falls within the group (1a-19b), in which the text was written in brown, watery ink only, on an Egyptian-made ink in which the watermark appears, which is: “High Khedive paper.” And in another place is a picture of Khedive Abbas, Ismail, or Tawfiq, which the author summarized in his other letter: for the purpose of the student and the good article.. etc. Described above, the author’s sheikh, Salim al-Bishri, died in the year 1335 AH, which is the year of the author’s death (Mu’jam al-Mu’tali’ 4/249). The collection’s papers and booklets are separated from each other.
Metin Başı (İncipit)	((الحمد لله الذي زين السماء بالكواكب وسيرها بقدرته ورتب حركاتها على ما أراده.. وبعد فيقول.. محمد البيومي أبو عياشة الدمنهوري. لما كان علم الميقات من أشرف العلوم وأسماها إذ به يعرف تفسير قوله تعالى : {والسماء وما بناها} وهو أفضل العلوم بعد العلوم الدينية إذ به يتوصل إلى معرفة الأوقات الشرعية.. وكنت في العام الماضي ألفت رسالة قرَّبت بها هذا الفن أعظم تقريب وأملت أن كل من اطلع عليها يفوز من هذا العلم بأوفى نصيب وسميتها وسيلة الطالب إلى أسمى المطالب في تقويم الكواكب بطريق الدر من حساب رضوان أفندي على رصد ألغ بيك السمرقندي ولما أخبرت عنها شيخنا.. الشيخ سليم البشري شيخ الجامع الأزهر قال لي هل فيها شيء من التقريب والفرقات...)).
