Notes
The first was a truncated copy. It was damaged by moisture in various places, causing its leaves to fade. Then it was subjected to a non-technical cutting process, causing it to lose some words in the footnote, in addition to the disintegration of its leaves. The following chapters remained of it (a chapter on treating the mouth, a chapter on removing leeches from the throat, a chapter on coughing, a chapter on spleen pain, a chapter on hemorrhoids, a chapter on vitiligo nigra, a chapter on leprosy, a chapter on toilets, a chapter on (The sting, a chapter on treating a dog bite, and it concludes with two chapters on what the doctor should know). The text was written in glossy black ink overall, while the chapter titles and warning lines were in bright red ink. The text was written on thick-grained brown paper with parallel lines and a commercial watermark consisting of three consecutive crescents.
