A recent copy in the collection (1a-11b), in which the following title appears: ((This is a book in which the lineage of Sayyid Ahmad al-Badawi... is Sayyid Ahmad ibn Ali ibn Ibrahim...)) to the end of the lineage in addition to his mother’s lineage, and after that: ((It was transmitted by our knowledgeable Sheikh Abdul-Ghani Ali al-Baydawi)), and the reference here is to Sheikh Abdul-Ghani al-Nabulsi who died in the year 1143 AH [Dictionary of Authors 5/271], the book on lineage. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Badawi, buried in Tanta, Egypt, and his virtues in a style close to colloquial narration. The author briefly mentioned some of the virtues of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Rifai. He wrote the text generally in black, tangy watery ink, and the copyist used red ink to write the headings of the paragraphs, the chapters, the headings of the titles of the benefits, chapter marks, warning lines, and so on, on a rough European-made scribe in which the parallel lines and the trademark watermark appear.
