Notes	A modern, naive copy, corresponding to the original from which it was copied. It appears that the author copied it due to the similarity of his handwriting here to his handwriting in the book: The Solution of the Symbol and Sign in the Elements of the Seven Planets, which also belongs to his father. The text and tables are written in pale brown ink only on two types of Frankish-made scribes, which display parallel lines and the commercial watermark, which is in the form of a crescent on one of them. The text is located between folios 1a-7b, and the tables are located between folios 8a-29b.
Metin Başı (İncipit)	((الحمد لله الذي زين السماء بالكواكب وسيرها بقدرته.. وبعد فيقول محمد البيومي أبو عياشة الدمنهوري.. لما كان علم الميقات من أفضل العلوم وأسماها وأشرفها وأعلاها وكنت ألَّفت فيه كتاباً يسمى كفاية الطالب وإسعاف المريد في حسابات الكواكب على الرصد الجديد حوى من هذا الفن مقاصده.. ولكن لا يخلو من بعض الصعوبات.. عنَّ لي أن أُلخِّص هذا الكتاب.. وسميته بغية الطالب والمقال السديد في حسابات الكواكب على الرصد الجديد.))
