Notes
21,1 x 15 cm version in the first collection. The sections and paragraph heads of the text were written, and some of its phrases and words were underlined in red. Red ink was also used in astronomical drawings and figures. The copy is corrected, and contains footnotes and comments, which abound in some places. On the cover page is the entry of Moeed Effendi’s endowment. Some of the copy's leaves are traditionally restored. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God who made the sun a light and the moon a light and spread shade and heat on the plain of the plain... And blessings be upon whoever comes near and descends to his Most High Lord... And then I do not swear by the positions of the stars, and indeed it is a great oath, if you knew, that in our time he has studied the schools of true sciences and the landmarks of education, especially mathematics among them... and he has compiled in them beautiful books and noble works... Wetness and humidity Transcribed by: Yusuf The end of the manuscript: ... and ten days and twenty-one hours minus a minute and three Fifths of a minute is one of the minutes of hours, according to what Al-Tabani said, as is well known to those who have knowledge of arithmetic, and God is the quickest of reckoners.
