Notes
He did not write the entire Qur’an, but rather selected surahs, which are: Surah Al-An’am, Al-Kahf, Yasin, Al-Saffat, Al-Sajdah, Al-Dukhan, Al-Fath, Al-Waqi’ah, Al-Malik, and Al-Inshaq’ until the end of the Qur’an. The copyist began writing in a golden and colorful geometric shape surrounded by a frame with a floral decoration. This shape contained the names of the written surahs. It was followed on two pages by a benefit in mentioning what it is recommended to do in the month of Rajab, then followed by Surat Al-An’am, the first of which was decorated with an exquisite decoration. In colorful and gilded geometric and floral shapes, the verses were written on a gilded ground, and this delicate decoration was repeated at the end of the Qur’an. As for the rest of the leaves, they are braided and gilded, and what is between the lines is gilded and outlined with black fringes, and the verse dividers are circular in gilt. As for the names of the surahs, they were written in blue ink on a gilded ground. A space was placed between the lines, in which an explanation of some Qur’anic words in Persian was recorded. At the end of the Qur’an are ten pages of supplication that concludes the Qur’an. Its cover is made of cardboard covered with sponge and covered with red waxed cloth.
