Notes A modern version in the collection (1a - 30a). It differs significantly from the previous version in the number of its verses and in its wording. It appears that the compiler re-arranged it after the first, changing its wording and adding to it, because the number of verses in the poem here reaches 756 lines, while the number in the first is 649. It also differs from the first in that the footnotes of this version carry explanations of the places, monuments, graves, mosques, and their locations in the plans. Aleppo, all in the copyist’s handwriting, on folios 15b and 26b. There was an error in the copying and it was omitted, and a reader or possessor corrected it by comparing it to a copy kept in the Oriental Library in Beirut with the number: 1598. This indicates to us the existence of another copy of it in Beirut, in which the verses were written in watery black tansy and citron [orange] ink, on an English-made, brown-coloured scribe, devoid of any lines or watermarks, which was made for a Moroccan importer. Or a Levantine in which a pressed seal appears, reading: ((A new work from the era of Humayun)). We have seen it in manuscripts written in various places in the Ottoman countries, Yemen, and Morocco. The pages of the collection are disassembled and separated from each other, so they need to be re-binded.

Yazı Tipi
Metin Sonu (Explicit) ((...
