Notes	More than thirty pages have been lost from this manuscript, as the index that precedes the text reaches up to p. 656, where the will of the Great Imam Abu Yusuf begins, while the text that we have reached stops until p. 596. The first page contains “The Book of Asbahs” in a late handwriting, while the full title is on the page that precedes the text, “The Book of Asbahs and Analogies by Imam Ibn Nujaym in the Doctrine of the Great Imam Abu Hanifa al-Numan.” The index is written in a pen different from the pen of the copyist, even though it is on the same paper. It is most likely that it was prepared by Ahmed Khairy, whose first page contains the conclusion of “Ahmed Khairy’s Library, History of Roses, 1362 AH.” The text was written generally in glossy black ink, while the headings were in red ink. The text was written on thick-grained paper with parallel lines and commercial watermarks, which is a shield with a crescent inside and its inner tendon in the shape of a human face. The footnotes are crowded with demands as side headings, as well as some comments and corrections in a late pen, which helps match the copy.
