These are the words I collected on the story of the ascension, hoping that those who read it, who are minors like me, will benefit from them. I collected them from the faces mentioned by its author, the scholar Najm al-Ghaiti, may God be pleased with him, after mentioning the story. And when I say the author, that is what is meant.. He wrote the word (his saying) in red ink. Comments on the version. Transcribed by: Muhammad Al-Jawhari Al-Shafi’i The end of the manuscript: This is what God Almighty made easy with haste and a busy heart, despite the fact that I collected it only for those who would read the story in one or two sittings, as is the habit of the poor servant in reading it in Al-Azhar Mosque. May his happiness in reading the Islamic sciences there last until the Day of Judgment. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, the owner of the crown and the ascension, and upon his pure family and righteous companions, and upon every chosen servant, Amen.
