The beginning of the manuscript: The book of sacrifice is a saying, and it is a name for what we sacrifice with. This is what Al-Zayla’i said and he said about Al-Inayah. The sacrifice in language is a name for what is slaughtered on the Day of Sacrifice, and it is an explanatory plural that means with an emphasis on the yā’ as in Al-Iyāna. Al-Zayla’i said: He combines sacrifices with emphasis..
