Notes His Earth and Humidity The epistle is the first in a collection. The paragraph heads and warning lines are written in red ink. It contains fifty-four obligatory prayers, and at the end are texts quoted from the Epistle to the Forty Councils. External size: 19.8 x 14.1 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: It was narrated on the authority of Al-Hasan Al-Basri, may God have mercy on him, that he said: There is not a day or night that passes by the believers that he does not have to do fifty-four obligatory duties, and if he does not do them, he disobeys God Almighty. The first of them is the remembrance of God Almighty. The end of the manuscript: The fifty-fourth of the obligatory duties is that he does not swear by God Almighty falsely, according to the Almighty’s saying: They swear to lie while they know it... and on the authority of Ibn Masoud. May God be pleased with him, he said: Whoever swears an oath to an immoral person to seize the wealth of a Muslim, he will meet God while He is angry with him.
