Notes
The Qur’an is large in size. The Fatihah is on two pages, written inside a frame decorated with geometric and floral shapes that are simple in composition, and not perfect. The rest of the pages of the Qur’an are devoid of decoration except for the circular and colored dividers. As for the names of the surahs, they were written in different ways, but in general within a decorated rectangle. As for the conclusion of the Qur’an, which includes the copyist’s data, it was executed inside colorful geometric and floral shapes, and the copy has an endowment with the name Hatnu Muhammad bin Sheikh Muhammad Al-Makhli, and a stipulation. That the boys should not read in it except in one shift between sunset and dinner! The beginning of the Qur’an is preceded by a sheet containing judicial data and rulings on farms and water in the village of “Makhal”. The cover is made of brown leather and its middle is decorated with a medallion with a pressed floral decoration.
