The text was written on thick European paper, in which parallel lines appear and the trademark watermark, which is three consecutive crescents. The manuscript contains a possession under the title, and below the body’s text (The lawful property was transferred from its owner, Ahmed bin Ubaid, to the possession of the poor, to God, Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan, may God bless him in his return, and reward him abundantly, and may God bless him. May peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, his family and companions, on the 15th of Rajab, 1288 AH.
Metin Başı (İncipit)	الحمد لله موحد الخلق من غير تقدم مثال ومميتهم عند انتهاء ما قسم لهم من الأرزاق وسمى لهم من الآجال وقاسم تراثهم على مقتضى حكمته التي تعجز عن إدراكها عقول ذوي الكمال ... أما بعد فإن علم الفرائض مهم في الدين غير مستغنى عنه وقد حض النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : تعلموا الفرائض وعلموها الناس فإني امرء مقبوض وإن العلم سيرفع ويظهر الجهل حتى يختلف الاثنان في الفريضة فلا يجدان من يقسم بينهما ... فاستخرت الله وألفت هذا الكتاب وسميته كتاب إيضاح الغوامض في الدور والفرائض على مذهب الشافعي رحمه الله تعالى إذ كان مذهبه فيها مذهب زيد بن ثابت رضي الله تعالى عنه ...)
