As for what follows, we have narrated on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, Abdullah bin Masoud, Muadh bin Jabal, Abu Darda, Ibn Omar, Ibn Abbas, Anas bin Malik, Abu Hurairah, and Abu Saeed Al-Khudri... The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Whoever memorizes a hadith from my nation... his humidity and earth will not affect the reading of the text. Some corrections are made to it. Some of the footnotes and comments correspond to the original, including references to al-Nawawi’s problematic wording. I wrote the headings and paragraph headers in red ink. Corrected version. There is a commentary. Copied by: Muhammad bin Salamah al-Nuzha’i al-Fayoumi al-Maliki. End of the manuscript: I know that the first-mentioned hadith is from the one who memorized forty hadiths for my nation. The meaning of memorization here is to transmit them to the Muslims. And God knows best what is right and to Him belongs the credit. Praise be to God who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had God not guided us.
