Notes	The notes that we mentioned in the previous version [Part Three of Fragmentation of Five] apply to this part as well, as it includes the readings, hearings, and approvals that we mentioned, except that Ibn al-Homsi the abrogator read this volume to Sheikh Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Mahmoud al-Naji and authorized him and a group of listeners in gatherings, the last of which was on Monday the sixteenth of Sha`ban in the year nine hundred and four. This date indicates that Sheikh al-Naji was alive in the year 904 AH, and God did not cause him to die in the year 900 AH, as Brockelmann mentioned [2/page 121] and he followed it as a case [1/106], and it also includes the approval of Omar bin Ali bin Ahmad bin Taqi al-Din al-Shami, born in Jerusalem and of origin residing in the Sidon district, on the day of Eid al-Adha, the conclusion of the year one hundred and ninety-six.
