Notes	A recent copy in its author’s handwriting for use in reading the biography of Aleppan [or Insan al-Uyyun in the biography of al-Amin al-Ma’mun] which he wrote for himself and for the readers of his al-Raghbiyya library in the city of Amed. The copy included an index of the four volumes that were in storage in his library according to chapters and chapters [see numbers: 16, 14, 13, 12]. The subject headings were written in black tangy watery ink inside squares marked with red, and the author used the numbers of the booklets to refer to the chapters and assigned Folios 35b-37a, to list incidents by year, starting from the first year until the sixty-fourth year of the Hijra. The text was written on a white, European-made paper in which parallel lines and the commercial watermark appear. The copy became wet, leading to the appearance of moldy spots, especially on its first leaves and binding.
