Notes
A complete copy, included in the collection (43a - 46a), written in black ink, has traces of moisture and holes due to dirt. The name of the copyist and the date of copying were inferred from the other letters in the collection, which agree with the message in our hands in all material features in terms of the type of paper, calligraphy, and ink used in writing.

... لكن كونهما كذلك بالنسبة إلى الانتقال ظاهر الإشكال وخلاف ماض جوابه أيضا فلابد أن يخصص بالأول ثم كونهما مناقضة مجاز وإصلاح آخر وإلا فكيف يكونان مناقضة وهما إبطال والمناقضة مطالبة لكن لابد فيهما من شاهد وإن كان كل منهما مناقضة في الجملة مع أنه لا يحتاج إلى شاهد في سائر المناقضات لما مر وقس على هذا إلى أن ينتهي إلى عجز أحدهما أي إلى عجز أحد المذكورين من المناظر والسائل ... تمت.
