Notes
External size: 24 x 17 cm. The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to the one who opened the fountain of eloquence in the heart of whoever wanted it... As for what follows, the poor servant Muhammad Halawa Al-Marsafi says: I found the system of the scholar Ibn al-Shihna in the sciences of eloquence and al-Badi’, and I found that it came with a wondrous meaning and a wonderful style. She was asked to explain it, and the mind was drawn to that answer.. Humidity wrote the verses of the rhyme in red ink. The copy is corrected by the author himself. Copy: The author’s end of the manuscript: Among that is the author’s saying, “The article is finished,” because it is clear and not poetic, but what is included in that is his saying, “The end is good.” God knows best, and may God’s blessings be upon our Master Muhammad whenever those who remember mention him and those who are heedless neglect to mention him. Oh God, end the term with your goodness, shorten hope with your grace, grant us increase, and benefit us with your gentlemen messengers. This was done by the poor weaver, Muhammad Halawa.
