“Hashiya Chilbi ‘ala Sharh al-Wikaya” is a valuable commentary by the Ottoman scholar Chilbi on the work “Sharkh al-Wikaya,” which is an explanation of the famous Hanafi work “al-Wikaya.” Sharh al-Wikaya itself was compiled by Mullah Sadr, known as Sadr al-Shari'a. Chilbi's commentary explains in detail difficult parts of the text, provides additional arguments and opinions, and was used as an important teaching tool in Ottoman madrasas for advanced levels of fiqh study. |
