Notes A collection of legislative rules “Kavagyid fiqiya” was prepared Musa Bigeev in line with the execution of R. Fakhretdinov’s appeal to him with request to start creating a Sharia magazine for Russian Muslims In this collection, along with rules borrowed from Ottoman Sharia magazine “Majalla Ahkyam-i Adliya”, was 201 rules of fiqh are outlined with references to the corresponding verses of the Koran and the prescriptions of Sunni madhhabs. M. Bigeev admitted that this work, being a kind of impromptu, it is not without its shortcomings. In particular, he noted the inconsistent nature of the presentation of the material in it. However less, on the pages of the collection M. Bigeev continued to develop socially significant provisions of the best examples of medieval Islamic legal theory and practice, formulating on their basis our own methodology of law.
