Notes The book "Muqaddima fi madhhab al-qira'at al-arba'a az-Zayed 'ala al-'ashara" is an introduction to the doctrine of four additional (shazz) ways of reading the Qur'an, beyond the canonical ten. The author is Sheikh Sultan al-Mukri al-Shafi'i, an expert in Quranic reading and Sharia sciences.
