The book “Akhir Zaman Kitaby. Muhammadan teaching about the end of the world" is a translation of a unique Turkic-language work on the Islamic understanding of the events of the end of times into the Russian language of pre-revolutionary times. The author of the translation is Evfimy Aleksandrovich Malov (born in 1835) - Orthodox Turkic scholar-missionary, writer, archpriest, father of S. E. Malov.
The author provides a scientific-critical edition of the text with notes. The publication is valuable both for specialists in the history of Islamic eschatology and for students of Turkic-language and Russian-language literary traditions. |
