Notes	al-Muwafaqat was written by Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Musa al-Shatibi (d. 1388), who died in 509 AH, and is dedicated to the issues of coordination between the madhhabs of Abu Hanifa and Malik. Musa Jarullah edited the work of Imam al-Shatibi and preceded it with a voluminous introductory speech, which he published separately in Kazan in 1909. The introductory word to the book, written in the Tatar-Ottoman language, can be considered not only a preface to “al-Muwafaqat”, but also in a broader sense, an introduction to the science of the foundations of fiqh and a guide to students comprehending Muslim sciences.
