Notes 1) “Matn ash-Shatibiyya” is the famous poem of Imam ash-Shatibi, which is one of the main sources on the theory and practice of the seven qiraats. It contains a detailed statement of the rules and features of each of the seven readings, as well as information about the transmitters of these readings. 2) "Takrib an-naf'i fi-l-qira'at al-sab'" - a commentary on "Matn al-Shatibiyya", written by the famous theologian, Sheikh Muhammad ad-Dabba'. In his commentary, ad-Dabba' explains in detail the complex parts of the poem, gives various opinions on controversial issues and offers his own solutions.
