Notes The book is a poetic exposition of the foundations of the Hanafi school of Islamic law. Its author is the outstanding scientist and writer Muhammad ibn Hassan ibn Abi Yahya al-Kawakabi al-Halabi al-Hanafi, the mufti of the city of Aleppo (Aleppo), who lived in the 17th century (1018–1096 AH / 1609–1685). In this work, the author in verse retells and comments on the famous text on usul al-fiqh - “al-Manar” by Imam al-Nasafi (d. 711 AH / 1311), supplementing it with his own additions and explanations.
