Sample Text The Persian language is an old Indo-European language. It is spoken in Iran and several countries in Central Asia. Its native name is farsi. It is a pluricentric language and its grammar is similar to that of many European languages. Persian has had a considerable influence on neighboring languages, especially Indo-European ones in Caucasus and Turkic languages in Anatolia, Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as Armenian, Arabic and other languages. Toa lesser extent, it exerted an influence on South Asian languages, especially Urdu, as well as Hindi, Punjabi, Sindhi, SaraikiSylheti, Bengali, Oriya.
