| Sample Text | There are few abrogated texts in the Koran and Sunnah. Wherever there is a possibility of harmonizing two texts with the possibility of acting in accordance with each of them individually in a certain situation, then it is binding. An individual may not even turn to annulment except through a text from the legislature or an apparent contradiction between two authentic texts concerning a matter for which there is no way to resolve that contradiction as when acting on the basis of each text in a given situation. In that case, the later text cancels the previous one. |
