Sample Text The Naqshbandi order owes much to Abu Yakub Yusuf al-Hamadani in Abd al-Halikual-Gujdavani who is considered the originator of the practice and is credited with giving attention to pure ental dhikr. Later, he became associated with Muhammad Bahauddin an-Nakshabandi, from whom the name of the dervish order derives. Some interpret the name of the order to mean "carvers (of hearts)", "relating to a painter", "pattern maker", "picture maker", "pattern reformer", "chain method" and "golden chain". Over time, the name has changed. Originally the order was called as-Sidiqiyyah, approximately from the time of Bayazid al-Bistami to Abdul Halik al-Gujdawani it was called at-Tajfuriyya and from the time of Abdul Halik al-Ghujdawani to Shah Naqshband it was called khwajagan or khoja. From the time of Shah Nakshband, it got the name of the Nakshbandi order.
