| Sample Text | Muslims are forbidden to do anything that is lawful and natural in the pursuit of God. Muslims are forbidden to eat, drink, smoke and make love from dawn (Fajr) to sunset (Maghrib). Fasting is an essential attempt to seek intimacy with God and to make one more pious. One of the distant purposes of fasting is to sympathize with those less fortunate who do not always have food and drink available. Likewise, one must avoid cursing and giving in to evil thoughts. |
