| Sample Text | An individual trying to master the Arabic-Persian script will have to memorize the distorted spelling of almost all words, as well as their complex rules and many exceptions. To master reading and writing in Persian and Arabic requires at least nine years of daily practice. However, a large percentage of the educated adult population in Iran has problems reading correctly the literary works of great writers and poets such as Gulistan and Bostan Sadi, Mesnavi Balkhi (ie Rumi) or Shahnameh Firdousi.
